Bryan Spielman joined the firm in 2008 as part of the establishment of a global technology advisory practice. Prior to joining Centerview, Mr. Spielman was a Managing Director at UBS in the Global Technology Group primarily responsible for covering the communications technology sector. Prior to UBS, Mr. Spielman was a Managing Director at Bear Stearns in the Global Communications Technology and Software Group. During his tenure at UBS and Bear Stearns, he completed over $37 billion in advisory and financing assignments. Select transactions include representing Redback on its $2.1 billion sale to Ericsson; Huawei on the $1.8 billion sale of its 49% stake in H3C to 3Com; Itron on its $1.7 billion acquisition of Actaris in 2007 and acquisition of Schlumberger’s Electric Metering business in 2004; Inter-Tel on its $723mm sale to Mitel and Francisco Partners; and Packeteer on its sale to Blue Coat Systems. Select financing assignments included transactions for Xerox, Nortel, Itron, Arris, IPC, Redback Networks, and Syniverse Technologies.
Mr. Spielman holds an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University and a B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
