Gordon Kroft has over 25 years of experience acting as an advisor to Boards of Directors and management teams on a wide range of transactions in the Communications Industry, including for strategic advisory / M&A as well as a variety of debt and equity capital markets transactions.
Notable assignments include advising Equinix on the establishment of its multibillion dollar xScale Joint Venture as well as its acquisitions of Infomart, Bell Canada’s data centers and Entel’s data centers; Verizon Communications on its $8.6 billion sale of access lines to Frontier Communications, its $4.1 billion sale of its Latin American / Caribbean businesses, its $3.6 billion sale of its data center business and its $1.8 billion acquisition of XO Communications; Level 3 on its $34.0 billion sale to CenturyLink; CenturyLink on its $11.6 billion acquisition of Embarq Corporation, its $22.4 billion acquisition of Qwest Communications and its $3.2 billion acquisition of Savvis; Lumen on its $7.5 billion sale of 20 ILEC states to Apollo and its $2.7 billion sale of its Latam assets to Stonepeak; Lightower on its $7.1 billion sale to Crown Castle; a consortium of AT&T, Singapore Telecom and TeleDenmark on its $10 billion privatization and IPO of Belgacom; Radius Global on its $3.0 billion sale to EQT / PSP; Vantage Data Centers on its $3.5 billion North America asset sale and its $2.7 billion European asset sale; SpectraSite Communications on its $4.1 billion sale to American Tower; TIW on its $4.5 billion sale to Vodafone; AAT Communications on its $1.0 billion sale to SBA; Phoenix Tower do Brazil on its sale to Digital Bridge; a consortium of KKR and Global Infrastructure Partners on its $15.0 billion acquisition of CyrusOne; SBA Communications on its $1.5 billion acquisition of TowerCo and its $1.1 billion acquisition of Mobilite; Bell Canada on its $1.1 billion acquisition of Q9, and Apollo on its $4.3 billion acquisition of Rackspace. Mr. Kroft has also represented his clients on hundreds of billions in debt and equity origination.
Mr. Kroft joined Centerview Partners in 2024 as a Partner in its New York office. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kroft served as Co-Head of Citi’s Global Communications and Media Group. Mr. Kroft first joined Lehman Brothers in its Communications and Media Practice in 1998 and was with Barclays Capital from September 2008 until he joined Citi in 2013.
Mr. Kroft received an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, a Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba.
