Jessica Ogbonnaya is a Partner of Centerview Partners.
She has spent over 15 years advising companies on a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and special assignments for clients across a broad range of industries, with a particular focus on the energy sector. Ms. Ogbonnaya’s selected transaction experience includes the following: advisor to Exxon on strategic and defense matters; advisor to Trinseo on its acquisition of Arkema’s PMMA business; advisor to Ultra Petroleum on its financial restructuring and emergence from bankruptcy; advisor to Honeywell on the spin-off of AdvanSix; advisor to Weld North on its majority sale to SilverLake Partners; advisor to Silver Run II / Riverstone on its SPAC IPO; advisor to Vista Oil & Gas on its SPAC IPO; advisor to Blackstone Energy Partners on the financing of its acquisition of Anadarko’s Eagle Ford acreage in partnership with Sanchez Energy; advisor to Black Stone Minerals on its IPO; advisor to American Energy Partners – Marcellus on its acquisition of assets from East Resources; advisor to Petrobras on the divestment of its E&P assets in Peru to China National Petroleum Corporation; advisor to Robbins & Myers on its corporate sale to National Oilwell Varco; advisor to CVR Refining on its IPO; advisor to PetroLogistics on its MLP IPO; advisor to Alta Mesa on its recapitalization with an investment from Highbridge; advisor to Denver Parent Corporation on its management buyout of Venoco.
Ms. Ogbonnaya graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Spanish from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is a Council on Foreign Relations Stephen M. Kellen Term Member and also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
